Fall sports practices can start on Aug 12. All athletes will have to have a current physical on file at the school before they can participate in any practice throughout the school year. Physicals are now good for 2 years. Anyone who had a physical done last school year and has a copy on file at the school won’t have to take another one this year. Anyone who did not take one last year will need to get one done.

More CHS Students Get Published!
3 of our high school students have been selected to be published in Here. Literary Magazine: Abbi Akridge (Sophomore) Aubrey Grubbs (Junior), and Jackson Anthony (Senior).
This year, there were 124 submissions to the magazine, and they published only the Top 30. This is a huge accomplishment!
*As of right now, a total of 28 CHS students have been selected to have their poetry published for the 2023-2024 school year! (5 were announced in February and 20 in April) We’re still waiting to hear back from 1 competition/publication later this summer. Stay tuned!*

The HS baseball game scheduled today at Senath has been moved to Bernie. We will play Holcomb at 4:00 PM in the 1st round of the district tournament.
HS Softball will play against S. Pem tomorrow (5/4) at Holcomb at 12:00 PM in the first round of district tournament.
Wednesday May 8th, HS baseball will play at home against Neelyville at 4 PM. This will be senior night for both HS baseball and HS softball.
